  • CLICK ON THE
  • You will almost immediately get a confirmation email back saying you have registered.
  • If you do not receive that email, you are not registered, so please contact Barb Schanmier, our 123 Administrator, immediately. There is no danger of being charged twice for an event as the system prevents registering more than once.
  • If you haven't registered or want to bring a guest after the registration deadline but before the actual event, please contact the Event Coordinator to see if there is still availability.
  • For most events, if the event sells out, you can still register and you will be put on a wait list.  The wait list will be in the order registrations are received (no skipsies!).  The Event Coordinator will contact you if you are able to attend.
  • If you have successfully registered for an event but need to cancel prior to the stated cancellation deadline, please contact the Event Coordinator as there may be a waiting list.
  • If you are entitled to a refund, you will receive a check in the mail (less the $10 cancel fee) within 30 days.
  • And lastly, paying by credit card (MC, Visa or Discover, no AMEX) when you register is the recommended method of payment. We do not accept credit cards at most of our events.

2015 EWGA CHAMPION'S CUP

The EWGA Cup is the EWGA's Team Match Play Championship. The competition comprises of two stages of play:

1. Regional Cup Qualifier

18 holes of Four Ball* and 18 holes of Singles** played over 2 days to determine the teams that will advance to the Cup Finals. The Southern Region EWGA Cup Qualifier will be held in our home town at Tiburon Golf Club on September 19-20, 2015.

 2. National Championship - The Cup Final

18 holes of Four Ball* and 18 holes of Singles** played over 2 days to determine the Champion. The Cup Final will be held at Reunion Resort, Kissimmee, FL on November 13-14, 2015.

*Four Ball Match Play - A match in which 2 players (a side) play their better ball against the better ball of 2 other players (the opposing side). All players play their own ball. The lower net score of the 2 players is the team score on the hole.

**Singles Match Play - A match in which one player plays against another player. Scoring is determined by a hole-by-hole competition.

Team Formation

Teams consist of 8 members, and Chapters may field multiple teams. However, each Regional Qualifier is limited to 16 teams, and team entries are awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis until the Qualifier field is full. Team entries will be confirmed in the order of receipt of full payment of all team members. The entry cost per member has not yet been set by EWGA HQ, but previous years have been $225 - $250.

Because of the limit on number of teams in a Regional Qualifier, to ensure a team spot(s), team formation and entry will need to be made as soon as registration begins. Last year registration began on April 1.

If you are interested in participating or have any questions, please contact Liz Rees

lizrees1@comcast.net 239-269-0620) on or before March 14.

CHAPTER CHAMPIONSHIP

May 17, 2015

Southwest Florida Chapter Championship

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

Registration is now open for the 2015 SWFL Chapter Championship (1st qualifier) on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at The Quarry. The national EWGA Championship is the world’s largest female amateur golf tournament.  Prizes for gross and net winners will be awarded for each flight and the overall Chapter Champion and Scramble team, all of which are then invited to move on to the Regionals (2nd qualifier)  in Hallandale Beach, FL at The Diplomat Golf, Tennis and Yacht Club on June 20, 2015.  If you qualify for the Regionals and can’t play, don’t worry as the next winner in line for your flight will be asked to play.  If you win at Regionals then you can move on to the National final at The Westin Mission Hills in Palm Springs, CA!

You will be playing with SWFL members in your flight based on handicaps for stroke play and scramble teams as follows:

Flight             Stroke Play                       Scramble Team

Champion    Handicap 12.0 and less                  +2

1st Flight      Handicap 12.1 - 19.0                      +1

2nd Flight     Handicap 19.1 - 25.0                       0

3rd Flight      Handicap 25.1 - 32.0                      -1

4th Flight      Handicap 32.1 - 40.4                      -2

Champion Flight will play from the STONE Tees - 5429 yardage 70.9/126, all other flights will play the GOLD Tees - 5091 yardage 69.1/121.

To participate you MUST have two 18 hole scores posted from Jan. 2015 through April 30, 2015 and you must have a verifiable handicap as of May 1, 2015 (when the new handicaps come out).  Your handicap cannot be higher than 40.4.  THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS.

The deadline to register is 4/30/2015 and again THERE WILL NO EXCEPTIONS.  A change this year is that you will be registering directly to EWGA Headquarters (NOT thru 123 as for other events).  The total cost is $100, $50 charged by EWGA headquarters and $50 charged by SWFL Chapter - your SWFL board is subsidizing the cost to keep our fee down as much as possible.  This includes golf, lunch and prizes.

Registration procedure:

1. Go to  www.ewga.com and click on SIGN-IN or MEMBER LOGIN at the top of the homepage

2. Login to the Member Portal with your email address and password

3. Click on Event Registration in the left hand column

4. Select “2015 EWGA Championship Entry” and follow the prompts from there

IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE CONTACT EWGA HEADQUARTERS -PHONE 561-691-0096

Practice rounds will be available May 1, 2015 at the reciprocal rate and you will contact THE QUARRY to get a tee time (239-304-0172).  We will also be scheduling a rules meeting that you are strongly encouraged to attend and it will be fun to meet the other competitors.

Please click the links below for further details on stroke play and scramble team information along with the conditions of competition information.

This is great opportunity to play a great course, play with and against members in your flight and hopefully have a great experience.  Let’s make this a banner year for participation, so sign up early and be a part of it all!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask any board member or contact Lori Drumm (loridrumm@hotmail.com) or call Lori at 239-304-0579.
