Be a part of the largest Women's Golf Association and Get Ahead!

Welcome to the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Executive Women's Golf Association. We formed the chapter in 1999 with ladies primarily in the Naples area. We recently changed our name from the Naples Chapter to the Southwest Florida Chapter, and our members stretch all the way from Marco Island to Naples to Ft. Myers and beyond to Cape Coral.

Do you have questions for our board members?  Questions about joining the our chapter should be directed to Vivian Ebert and questions from current members' benefits should be directed to Carol Mirando.

Be a Mentor and Make New Friends!
Remember when you were a new member and you felt as though you did not know many women in the group? When golf and non-golf events were offered, was there ever a time that you may have skipped an event because you felt as though you didn't know anyone or weren't confident in what was expected?

Well, here is your opportunity to make a new member feel welcome - by offering to mentor her at one or more events. Of course you will make new friends, too!  We will be adding a mentor section to the registration process in 123 for each event.

If you are interested in mentoring a new member for that event, just check the box and we'll pair you up.  It's that easy!  If you are interested in mentoring a new member in general or for any questions, please contact Vivian Ebert, Membership Director, drebert@livingwellfl.com, 239-290-9141; or Carol Mirando, Member Services Director, cmmirando@aol.com, 239-227-5889.

A first for Naples and the USGA!  Volunteers needed...
The USGA Women's Mid-Amateur Championship for 2017 will be held from October 5-12 at Quail Creek Country Club... it is an honor to host the first ever ladies' USGA event to be held in Naples!   As accomplished, knowledgeable golfers, you are EXACTLY the kind of volunteers we want and need.

The women who will be competing in this event must have a 9.4 handicap index or less - so, whatever volunteer task you can help with, you will have the opportunity to watch some of the best women amateurs in the US play on a course that you, too, can play! And, even though the event is in October, we really need you to register early, so we can order your shirts and materials in time.

For more information, and to register to volunteer for a specific task, please log on to the following website:
http://www.quailcreekcc.com/golf/2017-u-s-womens-mid-amateur-championship/ and complete the registration.  (Look for the phrase "Register to Volunteer" - and click on that link to instructions. You will be able to designate what kind of volunteer you want to be, as well!)

If you have any questions, please email me, and I will do my best to answer all quickly!
Thanks for your consideration...

If you would  like to be added to the Afternoon 9 & Unwind Email Notification List contact the volunteer coordinators, Renee Porter-Medley orTrisha Hare.
Afterwards, we usually go out for food & beverage at a nearby restaurant.

EWGA SWFL Hole-in-One Insurance
The tradition of celebrating the rare feat of a Hole-In-One with your fellow players is well established, and, as the odds of getting a hole in one, very roughly, are 12,500 to 1 for an amateur player, it is indeed reason to celebrate!
The resulting bar bill from the celebration round of drinks traditionally bought for fellow players that day can be daunting, which is why we encourage you to purchase SWFL Chapter Hole-in-One Insurance for just $5. Don't be that person that just sneaks away without celebrating your shot of a lifetime!
The fund was established to help subsidize the traditional celebration of buying drinks should a Chapter member get a coveted Hole-in-One in any official Southwest Florida Chapter event or outing.
Having submitted a paid bar bill receipt to the Event Chair, the player will be reimbursed by the Chapter Board for that expense, not to exceed the total amount of funds held in the Hole-In-One account, which fluctuates depending on how many Chapter members participate, and how many Hole-In-Ones are paid out.
Following payout for Hole-In-One celebrations, should the fund fall below $250, participating members will be asked to reinvest $5 to help cover the next celebration(s). Members can elect to participate in the insurance program at any time by paying the $5 fee at any Chapter related event.
Only members that have paid for the insurance in advance will be reimbursed for Hole-In-One celebration expenses so don't run the risk. Your next round may be the one......  SIGN UP NOW!

If you do not see your name on THIS LIST and you have paid please contact:
